I chose a quote from Katherine Hepburn: 'If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun' and developed an animation focusing on a character who becomes more colourful and fun as he gains more confidence.

I combined digital tweening and frame- by frame animation using Adobe Animate, alongside traditional animation drawn on paper using markers, to represent the shift in tone and excitement. I also added sound effects to make it more cartoony and light, as well as applying animation rules like squash- and- stretch and anticipation, to bring life to the characters' emotions.
